“Legal made easy”
“Sprezzatura” was first used in Baldassare Castiglione’s “Il Cortigiano”. A manual from the Italian Renaissance for the perfect “gentleman” at court. The term was subsequently embraced by art historians and, amongst others, is linked to the (later) work of Rembrandt.
Sprezzatura is considered to be the art of performing a difficult task so gracefully that it looks effortless. Translated to the legal profession, this is exactly what SLS does: “Legal made easy”.
SLS strives to unburden your organization by handling all possible legal matters in a flexible, efficient and effective manner. And by doing so contributing to the goals and ambitions of your organization. SLS is not a reactive law firm, but your proactive legal department, managing risk while identifying opportunities.

General Counsel
SLS acts as an external legal department for organizations that do not have an internal legal team. Your "one stop shop".
Advice
SLS advises organizations on issues, negotiations and disputes in various areas, including general (commercial) contract law, IT and privacy.
Projects
SLS assists organizations with larger projects, such as complex purchase and sales contracts, legal scans, privacy (compliance) scans, outsourcing projects and interim assignments.
Rembrandt
After completing my studies in Art History, I started studying Law and became a lawyer at Stibbe. After about 4.5 years I made the switch to the corporate world where I worked as in-house legal counsel (in the Netherlands and abroad), until I started Sprezzatura Legal Services in 2019.
As an experienced general counsel, I assist in drafting and negotiating contracts and provide proactive strategic and commercial legal advice.
I have a strong sense of urgency and respond positively and actively to challenge and pressure. As a decisive self-starter, I am independent, confident, driving and venturesome.
Because of my affinity with art and culture I enjoy serving clients in the arts sector (such as museums, art fairs, auction houses, art traders and artists).

Fair price
Legal services are still often billed by the hour. This is also possible at SLS.
The problem with an hourly rate, however, is that it is not always aligned with the value of the service provided.
That is why SLS prefers to work with a fixed price. SLS also supplies its General Counsel services in a subscription form.
